Martini

Some people have a signature cocktail.

I have a fairly specific relationship with a dirty martini.

Cold glass. Good gin or vodka. Enough olive brine to make a bartender question my judgment. And, naturally, a few extra olives.

It's not a particularly complicated drink. But there's something about the ritual.

The end of a long day. The sound of ice in a shaker. The first sip that tells you whatever was on today's to-do list can probably wait until tomorrow.

I wanted to make a watch that captured that feeling.

Not the part where you accidentally eat all the olives before the drink is finished. The other part.

Something classic. A little dressed up. The kind of watch you'd wear to a good dinner, an evening out, or simply because you've decided Tuesday deserves a little more effort.

A Day-Date felt like the right starting point.

There's something wonderfully old-school about a watch that tells you both the day and the date. As if reminding you it's Wednesday somehow makes Wednesday more bearable.

The Martini was built around that idea: traditional styling, a mechanical movement, and enough personality to avoid taking itself too seriously.

Because a good watch and a good martini have something in common.

Neither one needs to be complicated to get it right.

And both are considerably better when made exactly the way you like them.
